Pickup for hire · Pattaya, Chon Buri
One truck. I drive it myself.
Condo moves, freight and single large items between Bangkok and the eastern seaboard. Priced by distance — and the formula is on this page.
The routes he runs most
These four are fixed — he runs them often enough to know what they actually cost him. Everything else comes off the formula below.
Bangkok Chon Buri
2,000THB
80 km · one way
Pattaya Rayong
2,000THB
90 km · one way
Bangkok Pattaya
2,500THB
150 km · one way
Bangkok Hua Hin
3,000THB
200 km · one way
Paid for one direction. Drives two.
Every job is a drive out and a drive back, and the drive back is usually empty. That is the cost hiding inside every quote, and it explains almost everything else on this page — why short runs cost more per kilometre, and why a load heading the way he is already going home costs a good deal less.
What it costs
The formula is right here — you should not have to phone anyone to learn a price. Most operators in this trade write “please enquire” because their pricing cannot survive being written down. Patt's can.
The formula, per trip
1,400 THB+7.5 THB/km
Based on real road distance, not straight-line. Rounded to the nearest hundred. The four routes he runs constantly have fixed prices that override the formula.
| Route | Distance | Price | Per km |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bangkok Chon Buri | 80 | 2,000 | 25.0 |
| Pattaya RayongA hundred under the formula. It is his home run — he knows the road and knows exactly what it costs him. | 90 | 2,000 | 22.2 |
| Bangkok Pattaya | 150 | 2,500 | 16.7 |
| Bangkok Hua HinA hundred over. It means crossing Bangkok, which costs an hour the kilometres do not show. | 200 | 3,000 | 15.0 |
| Pattaya Sriracha | 30 | 1,600 | 53.3 |
| Pattaya Laem Chabang | 40 | 1,700 | 42.5 |
| Pattaya Map Ta Phut | 75 | 2,000 | 26.7 |
| Bangkok Sriracha | 110 | 2,200 | 20.0 |
| Pattaya Suvarnabhumi Airport | 120 | 2,300 | 19.2 |
| Pattaya Chanthaburi | 170 | 2,700 | 15.9 |
Why short runs cost more per kilometre
Look at the right-hand column. Chon Buri works out at 25 THB per kilometre; Hua Hin at 15. That is more than half again. The reason is not complicated. Whether it is 80 km or 200 km, the day is gone either way — the truck, the fuel, the hours, and the empty drive home. A short job is not a small job. It is the same day over a shorter distance.
The empty leg home
Every job is a drive out and a drive back, and the drive back is usually empty. That is the cost hiding inside every price on this page. Which means there is a real discount available. If your load is going the way he is already heading home, and your dates can move, it comes down by as much as 30% — because he is driving that leg regardless. There is no live board for this, because it changes daily and he would rather not publish a number that is not true. Tick “my dates are flexible” on the form and he will tell you which days line up.
What adds, and what subtracts
- A second person+800 THB per tripHe cannot lift a fridge alone. If there are stairs or heavy items, add one.
- Load going his way homeup to −30%Needs flexible dates — he picks the day that matches a trip he is already making.
- Waiting beyond 30 minutes200 THB per 30 minThe first thirty minutes are free. A busy lift or nowhere to park is normal.
- Tolls and ferriesat costBangkok motorway tolls are real money. He passes them through rather than burying a markup in the rate.
- Straps, tarp, ramp, blanketsincludedThis is equipment the job requires, not an upsell.
What the price does not include
The prices above assume he can park near your door. A condo that sends him 200 m away and through a service lift is time, and time is the only thing he actually sells. Not included: stairs above the first floor without a helper, packing, boxes, dismantling furniture, or insurance beyond what the vehicle already carries.
What fits
The question people ask most is whether their things will fit. Here are the real numbers, with an honest count of how many trips it takes.
Bed dimensions — Toyota Hilux single cab
2,315 × 1,540 × 480mm
1,200 kg
About 1.7 m³ level with the sides, and roughly 3 m³ stacked and properly tied.
And the thing people forget: a single cab has two seats. You can ride along — but only one of you.

Real load examples

One motorbike
1 tripsUp the ramp, front wheel chocked, two straps. Room alongside for a few boxes. Two bikes only if both are small.

Fridge and washing machine
1 tripsBoth upright, blanketed, strapped to the headboard. Room for about six boxes beside them. A fridge never travels lying down.

A studio condo
1 tripsOne trip, if the bed frame is going separately or comes apart. A rolled mattress, around twenty boxes, a small table and chairs.

A one-bedroom condo
2 tripsTwo trips, not one. Nearly everyone underestimates this. Budget for two — if it turns out to be one, Patt charges for one.

Shop or market restock
1 tripsForty to fifty standard boxes, tarped. If it is a regular run he will hold a slot — he likes these, because he can plan the trip home around them.

Sand, gravel, building materials
1 tripsYes, up to legal weight — but never on the same run as household goods. A bed that has carried sand is not a bed for your mattress.
A one-bedroom condo is two trips, not one. Nearly everyone underestimates this, and finding out on the day is worse for you than reading it here.
Strapping and covering
Straps, tarpaulin, ramp and moving blankets — all provided, never charged for. Everything is strapped to the vehicle, not just to itself. He still drives in rain, tarped and edge-strapped. But if the load is something rain simply ends — a mattress, or plain cardboard — he will tell you straight that moving the date is the better call.
What he will not take
This list exists because a mover who says yes to everything is a mover who has not thought about it.
Pianos and safes
Two people and one ramp cannot do it safely. This needs a crew with proper equipment.
Any single piece over about 200 kg
The bed takes 1,200 kg in total, but no two people lift that as one piece without a crane.
Live animals
An open bed is hot, loud and windy. It is not a place for an animal; that needs a vehicle built for it.
Anything needing a permit he does not hold
Hazardous goods, fuel, controlled items. He does not hold those permits and will not pretend otherwise.
Wet or leaking loads alongside household goods
He will take them on their own trip, but not mixed. Your things get ruined and he does not want to be the one telling you.
A three-bedroom house or larger
One pickup means five or six trips — slower and more expensive than a six-wheeler. He will say so, and give you a number to call.
How the day goes
- You send the details. Patt replies with a real price, usually within a few hours.
- You agree a date and a window. At least one day ahead.
- He calls the morning of, before he sets off. If traffic or rain will make him late, he says how late.
- Loading, strapping, tarping. None of that equipment is charged for.
- The drive. He does not answer the phone while driving — if he does not pick up, that is why.
- Unloading, and you pay on arrival. Cash or transfer.
The catch, up front
He has one vehicle and nobody to send instead. If someone has already taken that day, the answer is no — and he will tell you no, rather than subcontract you to a stranger and call it arranged.

This form sends nothing
This is a demonstration site. The form validates properly, but it transmits nothing and stores nothing.
Or reach him directly
Message on LINE
LINE is fastest — he checks it more than anything else.
Call Patt
Call any time, but if he does not pick up he is driving. Leave a message and he calls back at the next stop.
- Works every day. Replies between 7am and 8pm.
How far ahead to book
At least a day. If you need it today, call — do not use the form, because he may not read it in time. The end and start of a month fill up fastest, because that is when leases turn over. If you are moving then, a week's notice is safer.
Where he runs
Pattaya, Chon Buri, Sriracha, Laem Chabang, Rayong, Map Ta Phut and Bangkok are the regular runs. Hua Hin, Chanthaburi and further out he will take, but with more notice — those eat a whole day and sometimes an overnight.
